Ricky Starks, who recently made the jump from All Elite Wrestling to WWE after nearly five years, has undergone a name change. Now known as Ricky Saints, he has quickly become one of the hottest new stars on the NXT brand. But he may not be the only one in line for a name change in WWE.
Several established stars and younger talent could benefit from a fresh name to solidify their identities or create new opportunities.
One such change came on the March 10 edition of WWE Raw, where Chad Gable returned to the company after experimenting with lucha libre. In a backstage segment, Gable wore a red, white, and blue “American Made” mask while helping The New Day defeat The LWO. However, the segment hinted that the masked man may not be the former Olympian.
To build on this split persona, Gable could take on the name “El Chadador,” a nod to Owen Hart’s Blue Blazer character. This name change could lead to one of the most entertaining identity storylines WWE has seen in years.
